Hi, I’m Rachel Riediger, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and founder of Uncharted Psychotherapy.
I started Uncharted Psychotherapy and teamed up with CORE Health Collective because, let’s be real, life is uncharted. There’s no map or GPS to tell us exactly where to go, how to be ourselves, or how to handle all the messy stuff life throws at us. That’s where therapy can help.
Together, we’ll explore your path, try new approaches, and figure out what actually works for you.
How I Work ? I take a bottom-up approach to therapy, which means we often start with the body first. Why? When stress or trauma has our nervous system stuck in survival mode, it’s hard to think clearly or get much from traditional talk therapy. By helping the body settle, then the mind can follow.
This can look like movement (even awkward stretches count), creative play with art, grounding exercises, like shaking it out like Taylor Swift (or whatever songs get you moving), and even some food-making to help engage the senses. Once the body feels more regulated, we bring in tools for the mind. Sometimes we’ll work on your thoughts and patterns (CBT), sometimes on managing tough emotions (DBT), or on accepting what you can’t change while moving toward what matters (ACT). Other times, it’s about exploring your story (Narrative Therapy), tuning into your body and nervous system (Polyvagal Theory), finding small wins (Solution-Focused Therapy), or even rediscovering your drive when you’re stuck (Motivational Interviewing). The point is: we’ve got options, and we’ll use what works for you.
We might work well together if you’re looking for a therapist who’s a little goofy, not afraid to drop the occasional swear word and try things a bit out of the box from more traditional talk therapy. I’ll challenge you when it helps, listen when that’s what you need, and always trust that you know yourself best. If you’re open to trying new things, we might mix in some arts and crafts, test out a food idea, or dance it out like rockstars in between the tough stuff. Therapy doesn’t have to be all serious it can also be creative, messy, and even fun.
Who I Work With: I work with people navigating life transitions, coping with stress, or figuring out who they are and how they want to live. I especially enjoy working with people who are curious and open to experimenting with new ways of thinking, feeling, and doing.
Areas of Focus • Anxiety (Generalized, Social, OCD)
• Depression and feeling “stuck”
• Stress and its impact on body and mind
• People-pleasing, assertiveness, and boundaries
• Suicidal thoughts and self-harm
• Life transitions and major changes
• Exploring values, identity, and how you want to show up in the world
A little about me: Outside of therapy, I like experimenting with Pinterest DIYs (they never turn out like the picture), being a home body and hanging out with my three cats (personal space not included), or getting into nature, which for me can mean anything from hiking a trail to just staring at the sky and calling it exercise.
